The Nightly Oracle started as a single question: could a tarot table and a star chart feel less like a novelty widget and more like a quiet place worth returning to? Everything here is built around that idea — a slower corner of the internet, meant for the ten minutes before bed, not the ten seconds of a scroll.
What's here
The home page holds a full 78-card tarot table illustrated with public-domain Rider-Waite-Smith artwork, a star chart for all twelve signs illustrated with plates from the 1825 Urania's Mirror, a "Today's Sky" feature that calculates real planetary positions for the current moment, and a birth-chart compatibility tool that compares two people's Sun, Moon, Venus, and Mars signs. Alongside the interactive tools sits a small shelf of reading and ritual guides, and a modest shop of tools worth keeping nearby.
On accuracy and intention
The planetary positions shown in "Today's Sky" are calculated from real orbital mechanics, not decorative placeholders — they're meant to be genuinely current. That said, everything on this site is offered for entertainment, reflection, and self-exploration. None of it is a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice, and any reading here should be treated as a starting conversation with yourself, not a verdict.
On the artwork
Every tarot card and zodiac illustration on this site is in the public domain: the tarot images come from the 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith deck (illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith), and the zodiac plates come from Sidney Hall's 1825 Urania's Mirror. Both are sourced from Wikimedia Commons. No image on this site is used without a clear, verified public-domain or open license.
